MPG

Hi all i don`t get on here very often as i`m always busy    But due to the state of the country atm  i`ve been having a good scan through Topics messages etc etc
So just wanted to ask can you guys really get the MPG`s that you say ??
I mean i have a 99 Boxeye that does 120 to a tank full
And my gen1 1000 does 160 to a tank full
Above figures are brisk but sensible riding
Or is it that some of you are experts in co drag effeicency

I had a Gen 2 FZ1 never managed any where near the figures yam gave out for the bike less than 100miles to a tank, usually around 90miles with spirited riding.

That Boxeye figure looks very low.
I know the Foxeye has an extra litre or so, but easily getting 170 before the light comes on, whatever the riding

“A tankful” isn’t a very precise measurement. The point where the warning light comes on is quite vague and so is the point where you decide when to stop filling. Measure in actual litres over several fill-ups and you’ll have a more accurate figure.
For what it’s worth, I average 56 mpg from my Boxeye (but I weigh 60kg and try to avoid getting pulled over by traffic cops).

When i ride it on a mission that figure drops down to low 90`s But it`s FUCKIN FUN
