Hometowns

Just a suggestion, but would it be possible to put what city/town/area members live, on the section where their names are? Just would be good to see where ppl live and in doing so find out if there are other members in your own area. I've just discovered that there are several live near me and we have arranged a meet up. Or is this already accesible and I'm just being thick?

....and I've just seen the other topic someone has already put on here, asking the exact same thing and also seen the answer to that question! So it seems I might be a little dense!    Doh :rolleyes

totally agree
I think the location/member map is too crowded,a location in each heading would be usefull. How did you do the google map 1967fazer

Get yourself on to member map (on the forum, profile, calendar etc. ...er toolbar above) and then at the bottom of the map it says click here to edit or put yourself on the map (or something like that), click on that and it will take you to Modify Profile, where you will see the map again, find where you live (CAUTION don't put the arrow/marker thing right where you live, but near it, no need to advertise where your bike is!) and then click on the map, in theory it should put the marker there, then (I think) you just click on save profile and your done. Hope that helps :)
And yes your right the member map is too crowded, much better to put the area or city where you live, in the box on the left.

I see that some have the Google map, but I think the hometown should ALWAYS be shown so you don't have to go into the map for half a clue where people are. Farjo you have the map but not the town name up near where the age bit is. If you know what I mean?

I do now - just added it. But it's up to each member to decide if he/she wants to show theirs.

Fair enough but why the secrecy? It would be nice to quickly see who is near you.

What secrecy? It's in someone's profile and on the member map.
