Welcome.  Nice low mileage bike you've found - what year is it?

First thing to check is the EXUP valve.  Learn to do this yourself even if you don't do any other maintenance.

Am I right in thinking if there's a problem with the exit valve when turned on the rev counter goes to 7000?
Yep in the last 11 years it's averaged 500 miles per year

I've just taken off blue shortie levers off and put the standard ones on
Much better it for my hands
