Just rebuilt mr rear caliper with new pistons.
« on: 20 July 2014, 04:46:52 pm »
I have spent the afternoon rebuilding me rear caliper as the pistons were slightly corroded and the mot is due this week,

This was taken a few months a go

There was no way those pistons were going to be able to be reused again.

I clean and bleed mine once a year (obviously replacing the pads as required)
Bought the bike new, it's ten years old now with 32000 miles.
Pistons are in very good nick.
I'm guessing that those pistons of yours never got a nice coating of red rubber grease once or twice a year.
