will be keeping an eye on this...
I changed my end can for a Scorpion, its blowing/dripping a bit, but they advised just to use some heat tolerant silicon ( have some 600+ stuff ) on the join and tighten the clips well....so plan to do that..there is not room for a gasket there anyway in my case, it would be wafer thin and not really compress, its tight but not air tight...
But i am in the process of getting my down pipes off, waiting for plus-gas, bolts seized....
Not sure if i will need to renew the gaskets either...

I have 2 in my kit for some reason, a 5mm and a 4mm key, taking the measurement from parallel edges

I found my extension bars and have 4 bolts now loose, 4 others are stuck fast but hopefully plusgas will do the trick - so far i have just used WD40

So, i am aware there are threads and articles on Downpipe removal, i have seen some of them...
Removing the header nuts......
Who has actually managed to do this and what did you use...
I have soaked them in WD40 for the past 5 days, 2 to 3 times a day....no luck apart from the outer 2 nuts....
I have ordered some plusgas as it has some good reviews...
I could just use more force but dread wreaking the thread, or snapping something...but they must come off it i am to properly treat the rust building up on the downpipes

i best go check mine! What could cause the clutch to be so dry but the oil level to be over-flowing - something blocked?

I noticed the oil level on my windows full after i did an oil change, and so i drained some oil out.....seemed to sort the issue, but now its saying its over filled again - running fine, so i am interested to see what people say on your photo...

don't really care about the sound - thought i would pop the up as some asked - in real life the Scorpion does sound a little nicer, but not drastic, filmed on an iPhone as well so not the best - but which one looks better As with all things - its a matter of preference!

Managed to get a FZS toolkit off eby for 15£ so happy enough with that, and the C-spanner worked well...

thanks all,
i have some videos of the sound with the baffle in, and shall have some with it out, will try post them somewhere....
the corrosion is the next thing to tackle, recommendations on what to use?, my friend suggested some spray on coating that bakes on i.e. spray it on, take it for a ride to heat the pipes etc....
I have a wire cleaning set to gently get the rust off, but not sure if a chemical cleaner would be any good?
shall look at the center stand rubber as well..
thanks

I am trying to adjust my shock as well - struggling to get the thing to turn!
Have the correct C-spanner....taking the gear shift off to give better access - the guard blocks things a little...

So i have a new end can.... The link pipe will not fit over the existing gasket - i am happy to remove it but not sure what problems i may run in to - aside from it leaking i don't want to be left not able to ride it over the weekend so wandering if anyone has fitted a scorpion end can gasket less....i have a query out to the manufacturer but thought i would ask here... Thanks

Anyone got an alternative to the C-spanner that comes with the fazer for adjusting the rear shock?
If not i shall have to buy one, or a full kit off eBay as do not see any single ones...
