new ride
« on: 26 July 2014, 10:14:32 am »
picked up a gen1 03 21k SILVER was advertised as excellent condition so thought it worth the 450 miles to ayr scotland.a mate took me as he was going up for the games.bit disappointed to find the bike in what i would call fare condition and it has a exup rattle :\ .gave it a test ride and it rides great and goes like a rocket so bit of a haggle and im on my way home 8) was'nt too far from loch doon so gave that a go and wow what an amazing place and great place to do some camping.got home late last night and 513 miles bike never missed a beat so when i get the feeling back in my fat ass will hopefuly sort that rattle out.

Nice one Mel,  about time.  Exup rattle is easy enough to sort. Should be seeing you soon on a little ride out I hope.

Very nice  :thumbup  The rear looks very different without handles or a rack. What screen is that, Fabbri or Powerbronze and how well does it work for you?

I went camping at Loch Doon once. I say camping, but it was more like extreme survival training. The wind & rain were that fierce it felt like I was being constantly whipped in the face. I can't even begin to describe how difficult it was to get the tent up. I won't be going camping in Scotland again.

picked up a gen1 03 21k SILVER was advertised as excellent condition

More lead than silver wouldn't you say.  Possibly the reason for the go faster wheels

Aye, you see, it needs the extra weight in order to slow it down as much as the other colours, otherwise it just wouldn't be fair :lol
