Hi All My clutch cover is suffering badly from corrosion that looks to have started under the paint. As I am useless with aerosols (even with expensive genuine yamaha paints) I have made a right mess. I am now looking for a good (must be as new) clutch cover. Can anyone help. Regards Mike

Hi Ray I forgot to mention that the dock is actually a car dock. It will fit on the bike but will need a connector the same as fitted to the car power cable. Regards Mike

Never nice to hear someones messed it up. Hope you get well soon. Perhaps some lessons from an Advanced Instructor will fend off a repeat performance. Regards mike

Hi My current 54 plate fazer thou has just clocked 20thou miles and a previous 02 model clocked 23thou and i am still using the same K&N filter. Never had engine issues on either bike. Regular maintenance by a good mechanic is the answer to most of the problems on any bike. Regards Mike

Find" digger seats" website. Quick turnaround. I had a seat reprofiled on the original base at £110 including carriage and the bike was only off road for about a week. Your seat will end up as new. I am sure recovering will be a lot cheaper. Regards Mike

I am reliably informed (Yamaha mechanic of 20 plus years experience) that if you keep the oil sight glass full that will eliminate the problem. I have been doing this on Fazers since 2002 and never topped up or had overfill problems. Regards Mike

Do not forget that there is scope for adjustment at both ends of the clutch cable

Hi Have you thought about going back to basics and checking the adjustment, by the manual as for a rebuild. Had 2 Fazers and no clutch issues in either one. Best of luck. Mike

Try Jim Redmans Biography. From boyhood to an 80year old still turning up to ride at classic meetings. World champion in the days when 3 or 4 riders were killed a year. Great story great man.
