Shad top box racks
« on: 07 September 2012, 10:37:45 am »

Hey all quick question..
Having trouble getting a rack at a decent frice for my gen 1 1000.

Came across the Shad rack arms on ebay and wondered if anyone has one and can tell me if theyre any good.. Also does the old flat style givi plates fit them..

Givi arms just seem to be too expensive at the minute

Hello mate, spooky I asked the same question on the FZ1 forum and got the replies at the link below.

I have seen rack and box for mine on ebay far cheaper than GIVI.

That helped a bit baggy, cheers for that..
i was looking at those with hopefully fitting the old style flat monokey top plate on it (the opne with the slotted holes rather than the newer 4 hole mounting) so i could fit Givi boxes..

One of the posters on there claims theyre only aluminium rather than steel arms and has went through 3 sets which is kinda worrying..

Guess Im just gonna have to wait until a cheap 32nd hand Givi rack comes available  (unless any foccers out there have one for my Gen 1 Thou!!)
