General / Re: My last ride out :(« on: 06 September 2012, 09:07:20 pm »
I had a great ride today! It was sunny and warm and I stopped a few times, had sausage, egg, chips and beans for my lunch. I got up to Boston and then went a roundabout way to Peterborough. lots of smooth dry roads. I even stopped of at Gedney Drove End! Which I last went to in 1977 whilst touring the country on my Honda CB350 and my mate had a KH250
I contacted a good friend and they may be buying it, so it was my last ride. I'm sad but happy I made the right decision for me right now. you always make me laugh Locksmith 5
General / My last ride out :(« on: 06 September 2012, 12:20:20 am »
I have, for various reasons decided to sell my Fazer. It's my second and I got it in 2007. I got the first in 2000. I have been more than happy with both but this last ride will be only the 2nd time I've been out on it this year. So I am looking forward to the afternoon and I will head on up to Boston and beyond getting home at sunset. After this it will be put up for sale. Maybe in a few years I'll get another and start riding again, but for now Cio!

General / Re: Is this the right call from the Appeal Court?« on: 21 May 2012, 08:03:28 am »
When I first got on a bike (moped!) at 16, my dad said it was my responsibility to look after myself. "it's no good saying 'I had right of way' when your 6foot under". so my response is if he saw a lorry on his side of the road, aim to miss it. He says he had 3 seconds. I do feel for him and I think he should have a degree of compensation even if he failed to avoid. But, again we all have a responsibility for ourselves as well.

my mum (76) was done last year. CC company know its a scam but refused to help her. They just kept badgering her and she caved. She felt really stupid afterwards but she has no knowledge and allowed them remote access to her laptop. She phoned me and I told her to take it to a local computer company. the bloke only charged her £20 to sort it as he was angry with the scammers. I just tell any cold caller to foc-off if they question my initial rejection

General / High pressure selling of software to my 75 year old mum!« on: 08 November 2011, 06:59:56 pm »
My mum got a phone call from some Indian person today and managed to scare the shit out of her and she ended up spending £249 on some software! http://www.quickresolve.net/ is the name of the company, anyone heard of it? Would appreciate a heads up on how they work. Cheers.
