Knackering day.....on the , yay! Did loads of the gnarly little mountain roads in the Lakes, including Honister, Wrynose and Kirkstone passes. But quite a few other roads around here are similar in steepness, and they require constant concentration. It was actually pretty warm in the sun too, to the point where getting the colder winds at the tops of the passes was a relief!Photos are a little better today with the sunshine.Skiddaw's north face got a plastering of snow last night:Wasdale again:And Scafell actually not hiding in cloud:And seen from a different viewpoint on Birker Fell:It's a fabulous place; the sense of remote, open space is fantastic up here, one of my favourite in the region. The Fazer goes in for a service tomorrow, and then I'll turn my attention to Scotland a bit I think...can't wait to start exploring somewhere new to me.
