I'm in Ramsgate Kent but anything can be posted.

If I remember correctly the suspension rocker bearing has wear on one or more, but ideal for spares so you can ride whilst repairing this one.

Fucking carbs & modern fuel 😡 going back to last year when I 1st got my 2nd Boxeye the carbs have played up !
The originals I had off twice for cleaning then tried an old set off a donor bike I used for other spares, they are not great but confirmed the O rings where shot & my bike DID run  :rolleyes
So third time originals back on it ran ok (ish) always had a flat spot & could be a git to start from cold.
I then tried a later (forth) set from an 03 bike,it was better but still not perfect, not sure how they are jetted ?
So now I've now got another (fifth) set from another Boxeye & since a though clean it's finally rideable at low speed,in traffic doesn't stutter,no flat spots just pulls cleanly off the throttle.

I can get carbs off so quickly I know the sequence in my sleep  :rollin

I'm actually going to keep the bike now was on the verge of selling up ! So I'll fit the R6 shock & hid headlights sat waiting plus maybe upgrade the forks too 😎

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Buying carb mixture screws???
« on: 16 August 2017, 08:45:38 am »
Been there with a sized & broken off screw got it out the same way, just as easy using it with a slot rather than buying new it's not like you need to adjust the air screws often !

Give the carbs a real though clean did mine & it runs very nice better than it's ever done !
Often it's a tiny oraface that's clogged a wire brush bristle pokes those out, you'll need an airline too.
I scrub & soak all the jets check O rings, float bowl gaskets, clean the slides & tracks they run in too !

FZS600 Fazer / Re: What can be done about my forks

Paint them faffing about polishing I used satin black on mine, the easiest way to remove old lacquer & corrosion is a mild abrasive wheel.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Sprung a Leak
« on: 30 May 2017, 10:18:37 pm »
I had to replace the alloy manifold on one of my bikes it'd split where the steel pipe goes in,if this is the problem just be really careful removing the 4 bolts one of mine snapped off took a lot of heat & persuasion to remove it !

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Replace rear brake disc with wheel still on?
« on: 22 May 2017, 07:11:47 pm »
The disc simply isn't coming off unless you remove wheel, the job is pish easy to remove replace rear wheel why do people say it's hard ? as suggested using a short plank of wood to assist lifting it up.

I always start axel into swingarm before the wheel then into brake plate ready, instal the wheel chain on with its big spacer it'll hold in situ, its the smaller brake side that's fiddly but if it's all ready to go fit lift up with wood begin to tap axel once lined up job done 🙂
