I was letting them go with the head but will sell separately. The outside of them are slightly cracked like most of the are but the inside is spot on with no air leaks. £24 including postage
If interested email me

How much for the head, the gearbox, and the selector mechanism?
How does £100 sound for the lot plus postage. Unless you live in the Highlands and then you can collect.
No clue as to cost of postage as it will be heavy so I would suggest you sort it out at your end for collection, if you want them that is.
Drop me an email:  ardbegcroft@yahoo.co.uk

For a max £20 outlay for new bulbs with the headlamp mod, it's got to be worth a try before forking out for a full HID setup. Just saying!

My full HID kit is new and will do the dip and main lights, one H4 & one H7 £30 including p&p

HID is the way to go, I went down the route of upgraded bulb and all were shit. Fitted HID kit and wow I can see the road and more. I live in a very rural area where 90% of riding is without street lights.
I happen to have a new HID kit for the Fazer for sale, 1 H4 & 1 H7  plug and play  :D

New still in box HID kit for Box Eye, may fit other. Dip and main beam (H4 & H7). You need to make a spacer for the dip retaining clip to hold bulb as the original bit that goes onto the bulb is not used

Swinton fully comp £63 but went with CIA with all the extras for £90 full comp. Living in the Highlands has it's advantages as well as great roads  ;)

Sounds like you blew the signal fuse. Does your tail/brake light still work. If not then it is most likely the signal fuse. Remove it and replace it as it can be difficult to see if it is blown.
Where is the single fuse, checked all in fuse box and all ok

Fuel gauge was still showing full after 120 miles of 'progressive' riding. It would then show just under half when I know that it was near empty after that it would just do it's own thing going quarter to over half and back again.
After I stripped clocks and gave it a good clean and blow out with air line it was spot on again. That was until num-nuts here earthed the board on the frame.

Did you not get the standard 3 wishes with the puff of smoke?
Yip I wished I had not just done that over and over again  :eek
Bike runs as normal but no speedo, fuel gauge, rev counter or odometer so figured they are goosed

My fuel gauge was acting up so removed clocks and opened them up. Gave them a good clean and tweek. Before assembling them back in housing I plugged in and tested - all good. Noticed one of the bulbs out so swapped with one that worked to check if bulb or connection and it was the bulb. But as I was testing it again I touched the circuit board on the frame and there was a puff of smoke and now nothing works  :'(  Are the clocks shot or is there a fuse hidden some where for the clocks ?

I had the exact same thing with mine last year, started with a ticking then went to the same noise. I thought it was something in the chamber and was rattling around as the piston was hitting it.
Took the plug out and the manifold off. Made an attachment for the hoover that went in the plug thread and blew through with an air line at same time.
Seemed to be quieter after that only for the bottom end to let go a few days later  :eek
I would sort it out before you go riding about on it

FZS600 Fazer / Re: carb balancing?
« on: 18 July 2013, 07:19:56 pm »
I need to do this too, got the Carbtune so I just need to get around it.
People say you need a long screwdriver - how long and flat or philips?
Phillips screwdriver, #2 I believe. I use one that is about 300mm

FZS600 Fazer / Re: balancing carbs - easy ?
« on: 12 July 2013, 11:11:07 pm »
Had a carbtune for a number of years and they are the dogs bits.
Doddle to do once you can find the adjustment screws  :'(
When you are adjusting the balance screws do not put any force on the screwdriver or you will get false readings
balance #1 & 2 then # 3 & 4 then the left & right  pairs
Blip the throttle between adjustments and let it settle and check again, adjust if required, do this until all balanced
Have fun

As subject states,'02/'03 any colour or condition. Would take one that is cracked/split or scuffed as it is for a project so will be attacking it with the power tools  :lol

FZS600 Fazer / Re: 3rd exhaust pipe a bit cooler than the others
« on: 22 June 2013, 06:34:16 pm »
First easy thing I would do is swap 2 plugs around and see if the problem moves with plug, then you are not messing with HT leads and caps. If no change then try caps.

24
As said before, common problem and they are usually only surface cracks. Mine have been like that for 2 years with no issues. If not fussed how they look, don't bother  ;)

Defo chain related issue. More than likely needs adjusted and or alignment done. Check front sprocket for ware, could be trying to jump a tooth.
