I had a set of knackered legs off an FZS1000 with totally seized compression adjusters. One unscrewed fine, other left all it's threads in the leg. Got my hacksaw to work so I could see where they seize.

that corrosion is bad..
-
They have an O ring seal but guess it doesn't do much!

blooming great post :rolleyes I been looking for info on those buggers for ages.. now all is clear about where / how they seize
I got one seized on mine and wanted to find out a possible cure before I started fork rebuild..big thanks

I would be very careful if you are taking the adjusters out. The threads are prone to staying in the fork leg. I would try sorting them when still in the fork leg.

thanks for the advice ...rebuilt and upgraded my fz6 forks and my old fazer 600 too,,but gonna be steady Eddie on this rebuild :book ...
learning all the time..

You might have a wee bit of trouble getting them back together :b

Gaffa tape will do the job :rollin
