Post by: 74eldiablo on 02 May 2019, 10:44:00 am
Quick question, ive had my wheels painted the part where the disc mounts does it have to be bare metal or will the painted surface be ok to mount the disc onto?

I would've thought that bare would be the way to go so you know for sure that the disc is where it should be and straight.
Just my opinion though.

Personally I'd take the paint off otherwise the discs will be offset by the paint thickness.

bare metal should have been masked off be careful taking the paint off or you will make the discs sit off set and will act like warped discs

Whenever i've had my discs off i've made sure that area is meticulously clean, and i mean spotless.
