Coolant leak
« on: 06 March 2023, 03:17:08 pm »
Hi, my bike has developed a coolant leak which is coming out of the spark plug drain hole on the left hand side of the cylinder block.
It seems to leak from there once placed on sidestand before start up but soon stops once bike has been running for a few minutes.

Any thoughts anyone?

I see there are 2 large coolant pipes going into cylinder head.....could it be coming from these?
My fear is that its something to do with head gasket?

unfazed

Lift the tank and check all the hoses at the top of the engine, could be from the Thermostat housing or the H shaped coolant pipe feeding the hose to the cylinder head also. It may be just a hose clip that needs tightening.
