Swingarm play....
« on: 29 August 2016, 11:33:40 pm »
So, other post details issues with rear wheel bearings...

Have the swingarm off as well and have noted some play in the Swingarm Bolt/Swingarm Spacer pair...

The Swingarm bearings themselves are fine, no movement from them...

The manual states 1mm of play side to side and up and down at the Axel end of the Swingarm is ok..

A video says a 1000 words, so uploading now...

Comments?, i am not sure if i need to address this, my FZS600 has no side to side play.

I also not sure IF i do need to, then do i replace the Bolt, or the Spacer, or both?

It's nothing. The bolt and sleeve aren't intended to be an interference fit. Once the bolt is torqued up the frame is securely clamped to the sleeve/inner bearing.
