Exactly.
And quite a lot less, already the barrel works out more expensive per pint so with the less % it should be much cheaper as there is less duty.
I haven't got any stella in at the moment to check but that used to be 5% and I think now it is 4.8% which is the same as a price increase

That is a con, and well spotted with the ABV figures!
I'm also a fan of Hobgoblin. I quite like a pint of it on cask at the pub . . . but my absolute favourite is Timothy Taylor's Landlord, unfortunately it's very rarely on special offer  :'(

Stella is my bottled lager of choice but not the UK brewed shite. I only normally drink the stuff I import myself from France. Tastes much better.

Today I will mostly be drinking Old Crafty Hen 6.5 % mmmmmm !  thanks to my local co-op 3 for £5. Now in asda and sainsburys this is never included in the 3or 4 for £5 and is usually well over £2.50 a bottle, somtimes £2.80. So thank you co-op.

I nip down to my local Lidl in Stowmarket and pick up bottles of Hobgoblin for £1.20... Sometimes they are reduced to £1.17. I usually fill the trolly up with four or five boxes (12 bottles a box).
