if you go down the V-strom route i think you need to get the ones off the 650, pretty sure the 1000 are different.

I fitted KTM ones last year. Needed a bit of trimming to clear brake reservoir & standard clutch lever rubbed a bit. Got shorty levers now so wouldn't be a problem. Had to pack them out a bit with silicon hose where they bolt to bars. Looked okay but didn't think they suited the bike so took 'em off.

Thanks everyone for your info , I have a Givi touring screen so might suffer more with fouling ! I'll have a better look later and try and decide if it will be a major issue, thanks, Dave

kebab have you tried the hand guards WITH the fuzzy mod? i want to add hand guards at some point when funds allow but although the guards clear with normal mirrors i think the fuzzy mod would lower them into the line of the guards at lock.
havent tried it just was looking yesterday at how close my oxford muffs get to the fuzzy mod

Yes my mirrors have been modded, slight fouling only between Left-Hand-Side handguard and screen

This is with Renthal 758 bars fitted, 10mm trimmed off both ends

If you want I can take pics of 'bars at full lock either side?

thx kebab, with the amount of time bars actualy use full lock a slight touch isnt a problem. it just suddenly hit me the other day that the fuzzy mod lowers the mirrors slightly so might make a diff.
i WILL get round to doing the guards one day lol. its on a long list of todo :)
