New Fazer 600 Owner. Hello One And All
« on: 01 March 2016, 10:30:58 am »
Thought I'd just say a quick hello to everyone on the forum.

I'm a  proper noob, both in the sense of being a Fazer owner and a biker. Only passed my test on Friday last week, got the bike on Wednesday of the same week.

Looking forward to learning from all of you experienced (old farts, cough cough) about the bike and being a biker....

Oh yeah, after reading some of the other "hello" posts, suppose I should put a pic of the bike on here. She's on an 06 plate and done 24,500 when I got her, 25,500 now, loving riding.

Had my first commute in the wet today, that's a little bit different...

welcome, nice bike, as an old fart who's been biking since 1968 my advice is don't fall off it hurts and if you do fall off don't get hit by a car comming the other way it hurts even more and when you're over 60 you don't bounce like you used to do?

Welcome & congrats on test pass & new bike. Now technically I am an "old fart" but forum membership & BIKE RIDING help keep me young at heart. Now go and start learning/enjoying. Keep it safe & you might end up old like me & a few others! :lol

Hey nice bike bigbad,
congrats on the test, well done. Wonder if I would pass if I took mine again, I passed mine in 1966, about the same time as Noah built the ark. Yes another old fart (69 tomorrow) my test was in Guildford at St Omer Road, the test took about 5 minutes going around some local side streets in a figure of eight and 3 questions to answer, my test from start to finish was about 8 minutes. Mind you my car test wasn't much different that took about 30 minutes in Chichester. The advice I would give is think of every car, van and truck driver as a potential fucking idiot who can wipe you out. Stay safe my friend and enjoy the FZ6.

Just read bigbad' post again, how rude coming in here calling us a load of old farts. I did notice the typo in his post though ' I'm a proper noob' was meant to read ' I'm a proper knob' lol but still good to see you in the club bigbad

Thanks Tommyardin,

I think an insult tends to be the best way to break the ice you know.

Good advice on the other "road users", cheers.
