Carbs
« on: 22 July 2016, 10:28:43 pm »
I have a 2003 fzs600 carb model
It's only done 6,500 miles from new and is in mint condition
Would I need carbs balancing ?
It's running great, just wondered if this should be done after so many miles or years ???????

If it's running sweet and has a smooth tickover without the needle jumping about, leave it alone. :-)

That's mega low mileage, hardly run in. You're just showing off!

13 year old bike?
Certainly wouldn't hurt it at all.
You wouldn't really notice it creeping out of sync, but it may surprise you if you had it done.
Best way is to find a used Morgan CarbTune and do it yourself, and learn and save money in the long run, 'cos you will use it again.

well. here goes... have an ongoing issue with rough running. not all the time though, bike starts runs and rides and pulls fine. when I push her hard for any length of time starts running rough, throttle off and she dies! when trying to restart starts but runs really rough like down a pot. leave it for a bit and will restart fine and away i go. tried new plugs(iridium) new caps, breather clear. next coils? maybe, ignition? doing my head in now as the bike is nice and used daily. thanks :'(
