FZS600 Fazer / Steering stem
« on: 21 October 2014, 09:48:38 pm »
Hi all.
Is the fzs600 steering stem the same as the fzs1000 stem?
I'm currently looking into fitting r1 front end from 2005 model but all of the info I've so far relates to fitting to a fzs1000. Is there much difference between the fzs600 and fzs1000?

Does anyone know what type/make of adhesive is used to glue the plastic lens section to the rear housing on the standard fazer unit?

FZS600 Fazer / Straightening a bent bar.
« on: 18 September 2014, 01:52:20 pm »
Had an unfortunate incident with a twat forcing me into a truck while filtering. Managed to keep the bike upright somehow but bent the left hand side so it looks like more of a clip on! Haha.
Need to straighten it so I can get home from work. Is it likely that it will work harden and snap before I can get it somewhere near the original position?

FZS600 Fazer / Rear hugger clearance
« on: 09 September 2014, 10:25:29 am »
Hi everyone.
Just bought a rear hugger for my fazer. Ive trial fitted it and the clearance between the rear of the mudguard section and the wheel is only about 6mm. Is this an acceptable gap or do I need to increase it?

Thanks.

FZS600 Fazer / Non starter.
« on: 21 August 2014, 05:58:00 pm »
Tried starting the fazer this morning and it just turned over, occasionally catching then cutting out. Tried all kinds of ways of starting......... And nothing. Gave up as battery was starting to struggle and wheeled it back in and took the car.
Came home this evening. Switched ignition on, fuel pump primed. Pumped throttle and it fired into life without I hint of a struggle!
So annoying! I had only taken the top yoke off recently to make up a bracket along with wrapping the rear fairing!

FZS600 Fazer / fitting R6 or R1 speedo clocks to a fazer?
« on: 14 August 2014, 09:01:41 am »
Has anyone attempted this mod with any success? Was thinking about it last night. Should be fairly straight forward. My only concern was how to adjust the odometer to the correct mileage.
