Enjoy it while you can, I share the Fazer with my dad who is 80 (I am 51 and work abroad). The bastards doubled the insurance this year to £259 fully comp europe cover etc because of his age, the money grabbing twats. He has been riding 65 years and never claimed on his bike insurance.....

180 comprehensive + legal cover + SDC + helmets & Leathers + EU Roadside assistance.

6 points + 2 claims.

Ok, I am thinking of getting a Gen 2 FZ1S Fazer and was just wondering if any of you live in London? I'm 30 yrs old 2yrs NCD bike parked on drive! I have been getting stupid quotes of over £1000 for tpft no euro cover!

Just wondering if that is too high?

Paid £147 last year for the FZ1 & BMW with CN. My renewal came through from them for £196....not amused. After some negotiation they came down to £137.
Bennetts quoted me £58 online but when I checked details, even though I was getting quoted for 2 bikes, the policy said I had not owned a bike before. I corrected it and got quoted £112.........work that one out.
Eventually went with Bennetts (policy with Aviva) at £112.

Passed my test last month, but had insurance on 125 for year, so think that counts as 1 year no claims (according to renewal letter) - only been insured on 600 for past 4 weeks.
Anyway, 28 years old living in NE England - £132 plus optional £15 for personal accident (and insurance also includes helmets & leathers). I was expecting £200+, so well happy with that.
Just did a Go Compare and closest the cheapest was on there was £165, so can't complain at all. (wickedquotes.com is my insurer, if anyone is interested to know)

But arnt they just dodgy bastards. Hastings sent me this years £195...UP  £15 from last year.what happened to discounts for another years no claims?  so I went on go compare  got a better policy for £145 of mce  ( who are no saints as they did the same to me a couple of years ago) so I rang Hastings said I wouldn't be renewing  they said did you get it cheaper...how much?..we will try to get ours down .I told him to go and fu*k  as I would prefer them to try and get it down before they sent me a £195 quote
Also when I insure my car I don't pay extra for carrying a passenger or putting a roof rack on....don't you just get sick of getting it rammed up you!
