Hi has anyone ever replaced the chain for the oil pump/water pump as mine is rattling bad.

Do you mean the camchain that runs just inside the RHS of the engine (as you sit on the bike?) which uses an automatic camchain tensioner for adjustment?  If so, what sort of mileage is up on the bike - it shouldn't be probematic for a long, long time unless neglected.I replaced mine on my first 1000 when I was changing the cylinder head after a suspect cracked cylinder head was boiling all the coolant away.  It's an endless chain, so the cams will probably have to come off to fit a new one unless you use a split link version ...which is not a good idea
