http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2012/Rossi+plans+at+least+two+more+years+in+MotoGP

At least 2 more years he says here. I wonder if he will swallow his pride and ride for Honda,  now Stoner is going, the manufacturer he so publicly slated with his 'hilarious' ball and chain gag at Valencia in 2003.

I have changed my mind now ducati has been bought by audi...my money is on rossi to stop at ducati, and have the cash to develop a winning bike...why else would audi buy ducati , other than to make the great achievement...

plus I reckon all other options are now filled, save him leasing a factory bike from someone...

heres a thought though...with marquez now at Honda, did stoner go , or was he pushed ??????

Crutchlow has got a P45 from Tech-3 as Smith has a contract and I cant see them dropping Dovizioso. Moving to Ducati might be his best option.

Reuters have issued  a statement from Lin Jarvis( head of Yamaha racing) that Rossi is back at Yamaha with a 2 yr contract ( YIPPEE !!!!!!)...I dont expect miracles, but at least he now has a fighting chance to end his moto GP career with dignity.I am willing to bet that now this deal is done....Rossi will retire at the end of it...

As for the ducati...stand to one side, look at it logically...stoner left the team cos he was struggling with it, and he has amazing slide control, once the other teams had conquered ducatis initial massive bhp advantage( stoner just won on top speed alone), rossi cant ride it , de puniet cant ride it , nicky hayden ( the king of slide and a flatracker) cant master it. FFS ...its a shite bike !  I dont envy Cals decision if he does go there. Cal is so feckin brave he will most likely crash all season  cos he will take it to the limit, but it wont handle like his tech3 yam....2013 will be a year to remember methinks...

yeah right....IMO if rossi cant make it do what a competitive bike needs to do to match yam and honda...dont think it can be done. Hayden also has failed. Stoner got out when he could. The issue is that Yam and Honda have moved the game on considerably since 2009..ducati aint. Even with Cals undoubted bravery , I dont think it will do the job.
It will be a season of big crashes.....

Dovizioso has now been confirmed for the Ducati. (Should have stayed where he was)
