just thought i would give a quick update on whats gone on , after being offer a fraction of what i paid for the bike 2 weeks previous they now have agreed to give me what i paid for it . i had to resort to bypassing the legal people who were meant to have my best interests at heart and negotiate directly with aviva .

ive spent a grand total of £47 , done a lot of plastic welding to get it back to a reasonable looking road worthy bike , it goes for a m.o.t tomorrow so fingers crossed, its never going to be a mint bike but it will do for the summer .

FZS600 Fazer / break or put back on the road ?
« on: 26 June 2013, 02:21:10 pm »
hi folks.

after some opinions on what to do with my fazer , its writen off but the damage is very light and the cost of getting it back on the road but still with cosmetic damage  would be about £150 buying parts off ebay.

ive been offered £300 salvage but do i strip it and sell it myself or take the easy option and take the £300. I know all the numbers say fix it but is it worth much when it comes time to sell it as a cat d.

cheers

right , sitting here fuming , the insurance have writen my bike off and offered me £400 less than what i paid for it 2 weeks previous. its so wrong that they expect me take take a loss for something that wasnt even my fault , im fast loosing faith in why i pay all this money for insurance when its obvious that no one is looking out for your best interests .

well , finally found a fazer i liked at the right money , had it for 2 weeks and got rear ended and thumped off it while stationary at a round about . the little old lady pressed the accelerator instead of the brake while approaching the round about and hit me with enough force to knock me 30 feet across the road ,police and paramedics attended , went to hospital ,  the bikes a mess and the insurance have collected it and dropped off a nice cbf 1000 in its place . i really like it and now have a dilemma ..... fazer or cbf as a replacement .

hi .... sorry for not replying earlier , been away . yes a box eye fazer would be ideal.
the picture ive put up is with the cat loaded , all the kit has  been removed now.

if anyones genuinly interested in doing a swap im up for it, please email me and we can sort it out  ...... if i dont trade soon i will probably ended up stopping riding due to a bad back which the thundercat isnt helping .

Hi everyone ,I'm after a 600 fazer , not bothered about age , just need something a little more sit up and beg style . I have a thundercat , 1996 with loads of extras, full mot , new chain sprocket and tyres. So if anyone is looking for something more sporty then drop me a messageand I will give more details and email pictures.
