HELP NEEDED: Possible sticky fuel gauge ?
« on: 19 April 2014, 04:39:11 pm »
Hi all, bought a Fazer the other night, and the fuel light was stuck on and the needle registered near empty, I filled the tank and the light stayed on and the needle didn't budge.  Yesterday when I started the bike up the light did go out but the needle wouldn't move (again) and then the light started to be intermittent.  I spoke to the seller and he said that it was fine before he parked the bike up, but it hasn't been used since September as he had another bike.

Any ideas or suggestions that could be of help are greatly appreciated.

maybe strip out the fuel sender and see if its gummed up? I dont know how much a new one is (and have not read much on here about them going wrong often). theres a used one here though:
