I'm in the process of rebuilding my bike, a 2002 fazer 1000, I have some pipes which i haven't got a clue where it goes, it is a vent pipe which goes Around the back of the engine,

Photo link not working. :(
There's a couple of hoses (breather and overflow) which connect to the fuel tank and run down behind the motor. There's also the two carb overflow pipes which go on the metal spigots above the front sprocket.
Sort the photo link and we can be of more help. :)

I followed the last part of the link and got this but not sure if it's the correct picture - http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj38/solorider_uk/IMG_4441.jpg.html (http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj38/solorider_uk/IMG_4441.jpg.html) if it is then the vent pipe and the electrics get tucked in a channel in the sprocket cover so they are out of the way.
Just took a photo to show the pipes etc running through the sprocket cover channel.

Download the service manual Yamaha FZS1000(N) 2001 Service Manual 5lv1-ae1 (http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=11) from the download section and follow the routing of Cables Wiring and Pipes/Hoses from page 2.35 onwards.

Your picture has helped, if you look at the 2 metal pipes just above the sprocket cover which go into rubber, one of mine is connected and the other isn't, I'm assuming that must go to the air box as it goes in that direction, just got to find the pipe location now.

The hoses that go onto the metal tubes you've identified are the carb overflows. They don't go to the airbox. There's a larger breather tube which goes from the top of the crankcase to the airbox.
