Vibration at 70mph
« on: 26 July 2015, 09:17:10 pm »
hi guys me again, I get a vibration at about 70mph when I'm in 6th gear, then it seems to go once you get to 80mph, feels like it coming from the engine doesn't seem to do it in other gears any ideas anyone?

It's normal. They all do that. Nothing to worry about.

 :agree

some guys do 17 tooth front sprocket that makes 70mph with less revs and vibration moves in higher speeds

It's the 6k revs buzz, most do it.  Mine does it more or less depending on the weather/air temperature, which way the wind is blowing, it's a bit random, some days it's worse than others, some days I don't even notice it.

Yep there's a bit of chatter at 6k revs, just power through!
It's not as bad as some, there's a buzz through the pedals of mate's Honda Hornet at high revs, seems it's fairly common.
Treat everything in life the way a dog would- if you can't eat it or foc it, forget it.

Hi,
I recently changed chain and sprockets. Before I had almost no buzz at 6k.
Now I have a very noticeable buzz. Bang on 6k. I will see if it is there in every gear.
I don't know if it will diminish as the chain/sprockets bed in.
Or that it will be there for the life of the chain.
I had a DID 530 ZVMX not sure if that was the reason the buzz was very low...

I see posts similar to this alot regarding this bike, my feeling is that old bikes just are a bit cranky and they will have little quirks like this, mine vibrates as well, it's just part of the bikes character.
