Greetings from Croatia
« on: 16 August 2012, 12:08:53 am »
Hi, I come from Croatia and...well, just found out about this forum so figured out it would be good to check it out, maybe ask a few questions and see what happens  :)
I'm gonna introduce my Fazer and write about it here, after all, it's what we're all here for...  :lol

you've got a Fazer - ride out there :)
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - strawberries in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming - WOO HOO! What a Ride!"

been a few times, had ink done by Marin at Gandalf Tattoo in Zargreb, and you have a lovely country spent hours in your museums and galleries, and have always found everyone so polite and helpful - oh and those lovely lovely meat ball kind of things they cook on the market site, where they dip the bread rolls in oil before toasting them on the grill - well i would fly back out just to taste one of those again :) :)

Not sure about the meat balls from Zagreb because I live in Split, which is a coastal Mediterranean town older more than 1700 years and is not comparable to Zagreb in any way :)

If you ever come here, make sure to check islands Brač, Vis and Hvar. Beautiful twisty roads, no traffic, very little police activity :D
Rijeka is industrial and shipyard-town, not very pretty, but most people from Europe go there because it's the nearest to the border. We are further down south ;)

These are a few pics of our 2009 trip to Vis with friend's scooter, I regretted not going with my bike that day  :rolleyes

Greece may be warmer, but Croatia is more beautiful. Seaside at least.

Welcome man! :)
