hi all I am  John age 26

I brought myself a fzs600 1998 model great little bike just pass my test   last month   restricted licence 

Had a honda cg 125 for the past 3 years
 21 500 miles  on the cg 125 

yes I know I cud of done das .

But the Benefits of getting restricted are for me  get familiar with the weight and handling a big bike and its fast enough for me  dyno test 105 mph :eek :eek :eek with the 33 bhp kit in .

full licenses don't come in cornflake packets!

Ah, that takes me back... learnt to ride on a CG125 myself. :)
(A Japanese built one from when they had crappy 6V electrics.)


The change to a proper bike (a Kawasaki GPZ305 in my case) seemed a big leap in performance and handling. And I'd agree that being restricted to 33bhp isn't too bad especially in winter, 99% of the time I don't suppose I use more than that from the engine... the 1% is a lot of fun though. ;)

Another here for the "I started on a CG125" brigade :) 21k is some going, especially as they're slow going! How long do you keep the restrictors in for? Is it still a year or do you have to do another test?
