I had a great ride up to an event up in Epsom but after it finished I came out of the venue to find that some idiot had knocked over my bike in the car park :(

They'd obviously picked it up and presumably decided "oh well, there isn't any obvious damage, so let's not bother going into the venue and finding out who it belongs to or leaving a number, we'll just bugger off..."

Fortunately there wasn't any serious damage, the mirror didn't break and the clutch lever was just pushed out of position (not bent) the gear lever was fine too, but there could have been damage which they didn't know to look for (eg they might have bent the handlebars) and which they'd have been liable for fixing.

Regrettably the place where I parked wasn't in view of the CCTV and since I was there for almost 6 hours it's probably not going to be possible to find out who did it :(

At least you got away with it. Would have been a nice courtesy for them to leave a note with a contact no., but I guess that's people for you...

Yeah. They probably thought I should be grateful they'd picked it up (or hoped I wouldn't notice...)

Threw in the K+N filter and I have to say she is running a bit crisper now, also the carb stripdown and clean has probably helped no doubt  :lol

Rode down to H's Café, had a natter with a few people, snapped some piccies (see Get Yer Photies Out). Then went to Oxford city centre to have a coffee and watch the world (read pretty women in short skirts!) go by in the sunshine. Oh Nick, you old pervert!

Hooked up with Exupnut and rode slowly between Margate and Brighton. Exup stayed in Brighton so he could go to a club called The Blue Lagoon later... I headed back to North Kent fighting my way through all the BSB traffic. Top day out!

Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."

tweaked the idle control valve as my idle was low, rebalanced my carbs, and reset my TPS. then rode it 100 miles to Rowardennan, and then back to balloch before going to Luss and arrochar.

Went out for a decent ride finally and thoroughly enjoyed it Got lost once and had a memory lapse on my way home trying to figure out where I was haha

Found a small road by accident with some lovely scenery and it was so quiet - no noise from roads or motorways etc

Hey! Your bike is really beginning to look good! It's a far cry from the crock Exup and I came to look at 6 months ago!

Good work that man!  :thumbup

I took the bike a good run today, went to Luss/Arrochar/Crianlarich/Rowardennan:

Needless to say, by the time I got home the bike looked quite cruddy, so I gave it a good wash, and then went over the top of my HydrO2 Sealant with some Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze I had been meaning to try for a while. DEAR GOD this stuff gives a wet look. very good product, although the durability is meant to be poor (Meguiars do state this hence why its a "Show Car" Glaze, not meant for ultra durability):

Took a ride out to the Malvern Hills, about 140 miles covered in all. Some good views, in some places as far as what I took to be Brecon Beacons, but very few places to stop to take them in. Apart from a couple of fag breaks, hardly stopped at all. Crossing the Cotswolds on the way, a lot of wash-out (loose gravel washed from hills in recent rain), so some dodgy cornering, especially in tree shaded bits where it was hard to spot til last minute. But an enjoyable ride, done at a steady pace rather than balls-out! Did stop at British Camp for a coffee, but couldn't be arsed to climb hill to the fort! Took about 4 hours in all, which makes me think with an early start, Wales is now reachable for a day ride (occasionally).

Actually, I was thinking along the lines of a ride to Oasis café in Brecon, tea stop there, then a rideout somewhere from there Slim. Haven't really consulted the map to see where I'd go from the café though. Where in Wales do you like to head from Hereford then?
