It it just me that finds it a little annoying when people quote a quote and a quote and a quote and it ends up masive

I usually delete all the shit in the middle but couldn't be arsed yesterday.  :b
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,

Today, I did ride it from Ullapool to Carlisle. 1220 miles in the last 4 days, blissful hot sunshine in the Highlands; old acquaintances revisited, new places explored. A brilliant mini tour  :)

Rode it to Aintree and got a puncture about 5 miles to go. Called the aa which in joined a couple of weeks ago and they arrived in 20 mins
Plugged it and followed me to the track to make sure it was all fine.  Great service really, never used a service like that before

Finished fitting the R1 radial Brembo front master cylinder immediately feels better at the lever, balanced carbs and re-set TPS bike has a much smoother pick-up and lost some buzziness I'd been experiencing.
Just needs a clean and I'm ready for my tour of Scotland next week.

There mobile tech guys are good, just beware aa approved garages (halfords) £350 for a seized calliper which has scored 3mm off the inside of my alloy wheel, calliper mounting bolts finger tight. And it takes 8 weeks for them to investigate but hey still haven't been out to look at the car. Go figure.

Double bubble screen fitted and some sexy anodised blue bolts :) Now for a lovely ride in the sun to see if it actually makes any difference. If nothing else it makes the bike look significantly sportier. Forgot to buy new trim for the screen though, whoops!

Next on my list of mods:

- fender extender
- rear hugger
- more modern looking indicators rather than the horrible chunky originals
-braided brake pipes (more anodised blue of course :V )
speaking of which, I heard theres various forum/club discount codes floating around to get money off braided lines from somewhere, anyone know more about this?

Nice screen, I used to have one just like it :thumbup
I'm sure it'll get you to go faster as you need all the help you can get with a blue bike :pokefun

Think it was HEL brake lines, I looked into it ages ago but never went through with it in the end but might go back to it in the near future.

Keep up Matt, read the posts earlier :pokefun

Forgot to say earlier when I looked at your pic, aren't those rubber bootstamp for the mirrors meant to be underneath the end part to stop them flapping about?

Yeah probably! But theyre old and dont fit and keep popping out! What Id like to do is get some folding mirrors for extra tight inner-London filtering ability! Someone told me the mirrors from the R1 might fit it, if I can find a pair might be worth a try.

Heard that too but the other thing is they are wider so might not suit your needs :(
Guys were fitting them to see past their shoulders because they stick out more!

Day off work so had a blast to the coast with the wife.

Bag of chips in Whitby then an ice cream stop at Saltburn on the way back.

Likewise. New tyres going on again tomorrow. Still a couple of thousand left in these ones, so will keep them, but a BIG trip coming up, so want fresh ones on there. Less than two weeks to go, can't wait!  :)

No, no, we didn't steal it, we let you borrow it for a while  ;)
If you're really nice, maybe Red Ceri will let you borrow it for a little while longer when he comes up next week...say please! :lol

Off to Europe  :)  First proper tour over there for me. Battle of the Bulge area and museums with a small group to start with, then off down to the Alps and wherever our fancy takes us. 24 days of it  :D .

Changed the oil and filter
picture shows brand new oil through the sight glass before 1st pump around. Mmmmm clean.
Next no matter how careful you are with bits of plastic placed to divert the oil away from the exhaust I still always manage to make a mess as it hits the exhaust and tracks along and runs right past my drain tray-- so good job I but a sheet of old ply under first to save my driveway.
Last picture shows how much oil I have left over in the 3rd 1ltr bottle.
I think I may of put about an egg cup full too much  :thumbup in as I was too inpatient to wait long enough for the oil to settle properly on the second engine run before putting some more in.
