Thankfully, my little Actioncam is well buried somewhere, so you're out of luck. Tune in again tomorrow for "dropped bike, had to call ambulance, broken bones" etc  :lol

Cheers Bill. I'll miss our little Welsh raids, but plenty of good exploring to do up here come next spring.

Charged up the battery , put the battery back on the bike , started it up , topped up the air in the tyres, rode it around the ring road .

Got it off the back of the van this morning with no dramas. My method of packing it in the van worked well - put a large, inflated airbed at the front of the van, put the bike hard up against it, then another airbed, then piled all the heavy  boxes, furniture etc against that so nothing was moving  :think   All parked up, locked up and covered safe and secure now  :)

Mind youll need fresh air in those tyres.....no running around up there with that soft, slow air still in them.

How are the roads looking so far & what's the hedge density?

Glad to hear you're all sorted now anyway....now the fun begins 8)

Did you at any stage forget you were driving a van and go to overtake like you would on the bike?  :lol

Glad to see you got "Home" safe and sound  :thumbup

Won't be riding it much if at all this year now, so won't have an opinion on the roads for a bit. The bike needs a thorough wash and ACF'ing before it goes anywhere now the salt has started to go down, but might get the odd nice day in winter still.

Hedge density is foccin hard, cos it's mostly dry stone walls around here!

Damn right it was the most important thing! Most of my other belongings are just old crap now, much replacing to be happening.

Caned the van up there and back (well, it wasn't mine was it  :lol ), but am currently at bruv's one more time, to drop off the van and collect my car. Another mind-numbing motorway slog tomorrow, and that's it  :)

Yes Mick, but have you tested them? I won't have anything to do with sub-standard hedges y'know  :lol

My right-front indicator hasn't been working (and the rear right flashing twice as fast) so I bought a couple of bulbs from M&P (good service, ordered Monday evening, turned up this morning) and tried swapping the old bulb out for a new one.

Unfortunately it still wasn't working and on closer inspection it turned out that water (condensation?) had caused corrosion on the contacts in the socket, so a few squirts of WD40 Contact Cleaner and some scraping around with a sharp blade and some sandpaper cleaned it up and it's now working fine.

At least I've got a couple of spare indicator bulbs now... :-/

Resprayed the throttle housing and my clutch stock matte black (same as all other parts I've refinished)
Extended the wiring to the front brake light switch as the original wiring was damaged, soldiered the wire to the terminals and heat shrank them, means removing the switch should I have to take the switch block off the bars but no great hassle

Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

When you click on the reply button and the dialogue page opens the smileys are just above the message box  where you input text, for photos click on the additional options button below the input box, thats on a computer, tablets  or phones might be different.

Fitted a pair of H4 HID bulb kits Saturday that were given to me, so decided to sneak a little ride in when I got home. Getting dark on return and very pleased with lighting  :)

Took it to the local friendly mechanic to get the master cylinder screws removed.

Started with a punch and hammer but that didn't work so moved on to the drill.

Drilled the heads off removed one screw but the other snapped clean off when going at it with vice grips.

So the welder came out.

Blob of weld was enough to remove it with the grips.

Finally out.

I think the threads have been damaged on the left hole the new screw in that hole feels tight. Some unavoidable damage has been done to the cap but it was that or a new MC.

Also ordered a PR3 to see what all the rage is about for the front while I was there it is to replace an Avon road rider with roughly 1/2mm left before it hits 1mm.

Finally got the stubborn pistons in took a while and lot of persistence but I won in the end.

Pads could be replaced with fresh. They were needed.

Flushed the fluid with fresh.

Replaced the stripped caliper bracket I've been meaning to for a few months.

Next I replaced the front pads and fluid while I was at it the pads were still legal though not by much so thought I would change them today so I don't have to bother in a month when it's sub zero temperatures.

Pistons went back with ease unlike the back which was nice.

Little bleeder worked very well despite what the arm chair experts said. Took about two minutes on each caliper.

Finished the day by washing it and tying the brake levers back for the night.
