What I don't understand is why buy a new say ER6F for £6500 when an old fazer is a better bike.

I tried an NC750 also and I can safely say a fazer is a better bike

No..Because you can tuck right in on a fazer. the MT09 you are more upright and have you ever tried riding one fast?

Anyway. You will be best of balancing the carbs with a proper balancer. Oh and fill the bars with rubber.....

I have 27k now on min but the one before I had done around 160,000. It had only ever had oil changes I shit you not...

I test rode the new tracer 700 last week, Very tempted to buy it I was until I got back on my fazer and realised that a 13 year old bike is better to ride that a 2016 model.  The foxeye fazers were the best ones and will smoke many a new bike these days...

ER6fs,NC750s,Tracers,bandits,GSXF's,CBR650s,CB500's,MT07's,MTY09's.

The fazer will SMOKE the lot of them.

I have noticed on my fazer when I ride the mirrors vibrate a lot. You can see the car behind you but it's buzzing about a bit... If I touch the mirror you can feel it vibrating. I have had my carbs balanced as I thought it might be that but no joy...

Is this normal?

No. The internal resistors are only there to damp out high frequency oscillations that cause radio interference and the values are not critical.

I would love to tell you what was wrong with mine but its stopped doing what it done..

I have purchased a set of new plug caps for it anyway. NGK ones. I have noticed they are 5k resistance not 10k like the standard ones. Will this cause an issue?

Mine seems to have stopped this problem altogether at the moment. I don't no why though I have put a new air filter in it also which has made it run a lot smoother

Also you are right mate re 1-3 and 2-4 just been to check

Well I rode it home today and its fine. All I have done today is unpluged the heated grips and took all the plug caps off and pushed them back on.I also unscrewed them and screwed them back on. The problem has gone for now...Its bizzare

That's what I was thinking. I just can't get a secondary coil reading though that would suggest a bad coil. The workshop manual doesn't say check both coils though only 1&2 cylinder coil
