No the actual rubbers where the arms go through the side panels instead of the side grab rails and bolt under the seat.

Hi bought a Genuine Givi rack and arms for my Gen1 about a 12 Month ago.

I've just got round to fitting it & i've lost the rubbers that block the holes where the grab handles are.

Any suggestions where I can get some ??

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / peaklife sat nav
« on: 10 February 2013, 09:09:30 am »
Morning All,

Has anybody bought a Peaklife Satnav.

I'm trying to be frugal (as opposed to tight) lol.

I've looked at options including a waterproof case for a car one.

the write ups i've managed to find seem ok.

But i thought i'd ask in case anyone has got one.

I've found a site that will sell them for £79.99 which seems really good.

Any Thoughts peeps ??

There think I got my point across

i've got a 55 plate Gen1 1000 i'm 40  so no boy racer although i do like to have a mad 5 mins now and again..

This is by far the best bike i've ever owned.

The only bike I think I would change it for is a newer Fazer 1000

It's a great bike its forgiving and will also go like a train.

like someone else said you don't have to ride to its limit.

My mate has a 600 foxeye and its ok but not a patch on the 1000.

If this is your only chance it has to be the thou otherwise you will always be wondering.

Hi,

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but they are 100% right.

A similar thing happened to a close friend of mine got flashed out by a car then the same car hit him.

Guy denied he'd flashed and the police said even if he had it is still your responsibility to pull out when it is safe to do so.

Sorry.

« on: 04 September 2012, 07:54:04 pm »
TBH I like this site but everyone seems to be way over cautious with everything.

If its just a flash charge due to leaving the ignition on a car charger is fine.

If you are charging regularly then a lower ampage charge is preferable as it can damage the cells with repeated high ampage charge.

Good luck hope you sort it out soon.

Got up this morning, put the biking gear on went out to the garage jumped on the Fazer started her up pushed her off the centre stand. Thought that's a bit soft, got it out the garage and checked rear tyre flat. Argh  :'( on a Saturday of all days.

Rang round a few local garages got someone to do puncture repair for £25. tyre was not perfect and a bit rounded off but worth saving in my opinion.

took the rear wheel to garage only to be told tyre was Fuc**D. and they didn't have one in stock. Grrrrrrr

Managed to source a tyre Avon VP2 sport AV60 for £128 fitted at Thunder road Honda dealer in South Wales which I thought was pretty good for dealer.

Collected wheel gave up on going out today whist refitting wheel rear brake pad separated from metal frame Argh..... part 2.

Down to South Wales superbikes for brake pads £23.00 not as bad I thought for Yam main dealer even though they are £12.00 from M&P.

Anyway all back together and wheeled back into garage 6pm ready for tomorrow.

Waved finger at her told her how disappointed I was.

Said we would try again in the morning.

Rant over..

Before anyone tells me off I know you should change tyres in pairs but the front is like new.
Never had avon's before more a michelin battleaxe, any good ?

I don't think he had any intention of turning left, She jumped the light he swerved to avoid her and carried on the turn to try to keep away from her.
Your right he was going fast but if his light was green and he was going straight on probably not dangerously fast.
That's one lucky stupid lady

What a stunning looking seat, I'd love to have but cant justify spending that kind of money when mine is fine.
Good luck with selling it. if you struggle I may make you a cheeky bid...  :eek
Your fuel tank filler cap looks strange from the photos was that personal choice or on there when you bought it.

I like that and I can relate to it.

I recently changed the colour of my bike.

It had been resprayed badly when I bought it.Well it wasn't terrible but not perfect.

My brother works in a bodyshop and loved pointing out that his Yam Thundercrap was 6 years older than mine but looked newer.

It was black and I decided on a dark metallic almost a gun metal grey.

The wife never noticed didn't have a clue .
