hi can anyone tell me how long the standard clutch should last? I know it would depend on riding style etc just a general idea would be good as my 1000 has done 42k now and its on the last of its adjustment at the engine actuator arm and the gear change is quite notchy now
thanks

The gen 1 is seems sensitive to clutch its cable, I think it's because it goes through 4 angles between lever and housing. Is yours a genuine cable? If so it will need to be adjusted 'just so' for a smooth change and an easy to find neutral. I and others on this forum have tried after market cables and have promptly changed them for genuine.
not sure if its gen but its in good condition and adjusted

Its been while since a road my fazer, but that might be a tad high. The std sprockets sizes rear/front seem to vary from 44/16 - 45/17 depending on year and geographic location. Here is a little chart showing differences - http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/model/3058/
thanks i dont know what the front one is as not had chance to remove cover etc, but the back one is stamped at 49 which confuses me totally????
