Headlight Bulbs ????
« on: 05 May 2013, 06:45:50 pm »
Hi Guys n Dolls, Is there an issue with changing my h/light bulbs to 100 watt ones?? The reason I ask is that I thought i'd try and solve the rattle I found with the shroud around the left light and when replacing the bulb it had blown (TWAT )!!!!! Wondered if any of you had used 100's and what results you found?

Cheers  Buck

They'll get even hotter than before, and start melting/corroding the housing.
And wiring could be an issue with the extra load.
Not a good idea.

It's only 'cos i recently dealt with a buzzing headlight bulb, which was primarily caused by heat wearing out the plastic housing, then it creates a very annoying buzz.

Make sure you get bulbs that are plastic lens friendly too.
