Gen1 screen
« on: 15 July 2014, 08:34:37 pm »
After a taller/wider screen for gen1 1000. I have the standard screen and a taller, flip type screen, but being 6'5" I need more. The mirror mod has done away with the turbulence, could just do with losing some of the wind blast.

Get yourself an MRA X-creen and clamp/bolt it to the top of your current screen. I have mine fitted to a Puig DB.

How much extra height do the mra screens add?

I used to have the MRA vario, but I found the screen the same height as the original but with the adjustable blade. If you already have a taller screen the X-creen makes a big difference. It is not so much how much extra height it adds (up to about 2-3 inches) but the ability to adjust the airflow to suit you.

Other than that, go for one of the American large touring screens

Do like the look of that, not sure I could justify close to £100 for one though. Still tempted to get the gen2 tall screen from Dazza, just don't want to balls up cutting it about.
