Ohlins YA-009 rear shock for fz1: fitment
« on: 11 May 2024, 06:55:08 pm »
So this was the only place I could fit the pre-load adjuster and even then it was a tight fight. routing the hydroic hose from the shock to the adjuster was also a pain, I had to route it under the ABS unit, between the unit and the protective plastic splash cover.

Can I ask if anyone else has fitted an ohlins to their FZ1 and do they have photos..?

That is the wrong bracket for the bike, it should be a flat L shaped plate.  It should also be mounted on the rear foot peg hanger mounting bracket bolt, so the adjuster knob is parallel to the frame and pointing to the rear of the bike.  Contact Harris Performance, they're or were the UK importers for Ohlins, they'll be able to get you the correct bracket, or have one made.  I'll speak to you off line and you can then get it sorted  :thumbup
