Hello all,
New guy here, just wanted to say hi and looking forward to drinking in the help and Knowledge from others and hopefully being able to share any of my, be it minimal knowledge.
I recently purchased a 1999 FZS600 Fazer from my friend and it's the best bike I've ever bought or rode, so much better than my last bike which was a 1991 FZS600 Genesis.

welcome aboard man ,yep fazers rock, great site here for info mods and banter ,nice shade of red that too :thumbup
-
Thanks, it's a cracking bike and I'm just having so much fun on it. I used to be more into sports bikes hence the FZR and I always wanted an R1 but this bike has just made me do a complete U-turn on the type of bike to ride.
I am having some slight electrical issues with it at the moment but I'm slowly going through possible causes.

well this is the place with ALL the answers :smokin not from me mind :lol ..ya i know what you mean .i recently bought an s1000rr but its bloody hard work on the old injurys ,,when i get on my fazer its like a comfy old couch that flys over the shitty roads instead of any slight pot hole on the beemer feels like a kick in the spine :'(

All the answers is just what I need :) Panel beating and paint spraying are my thing but when it comes to mechanics or electrics I'm a complete novice.
Just got back from a trip to Cornwall, we were ment to be there all week but due to illness from the wife and daughter we came back early, but I don't mind as it means I've got the rest of the week off to work on the bike :lol
I've always wanted to try a blast out on a S1000RR but could never bring myself to book a test ride, as the wife would kill me because I would just have to buy it :evil

great for the short blasts on nice roads,,everything feels a lot slower after using one..a pure licence loser though :stop
-
Yes I can imagine it would most definitely be a license loosing machine. I think that's one of the reasons why I've never made the jump to owning a 1000cc or above, I have ridden a few but never owned. I know a 600 can also be licence looser but if I had a 1000 or above then I would just want to use all it has 👹
