I don't think you need to worry about tight valve clearances and burned valve seats just yet ...
Plenty of other possible causes that we can explore first.
What is the mileage on the bike? When was it last serviced? Any modifications, particularly to the carbs or exhaust?
Does the motor start eventually or does it refuse to start at all when hot?
If you can answer these questions, it will help focus on the possible reasons for your problem.
