Removed Yamaha Decals
« on: 17 June 2012, 10:38:19 pm »
Today I removed the front decals on the Fazer. I think it looks better in plain black. I just might remove the back ones too. Oh, and I fitted the Yamaha Tourer Screen.

What do you think??

I like it, we are not paid like Jorge Lorenzo, so advertising is senseless. Mine doesn't have any sticker or logo.

You painted the engine and frame in black, right? I like it too

looks good, really good.

initially i'd have said to remove the back decals too, but after some thought the red tank might stand out a bit and look a little odd (like a post accident replacement) if there's no other red on the bike to compliment it.

i've always thought that the black frame/engine thous need their fork bottoms, radiator caps, frame covers and footrest assemblies painting / powder coating black as they don't really match anything else in silver and they're not large enough items to stand silver on their own.

food for thought?
is it clean enough?

is your garage so big that it needs two house numbers?
is it clean enough?

Thanks guys.

The engine/frame are standard black at this year Motorbreath.

Doing the forks black is a good idea BloodClot! And yes, I've decided to keep the rear decals - like you say, they compliment the tank colour and don't look at all bad.

For me it looks a bit unfinished. Like the fairing has just been painted/fitted & is waiting for some finishing touches.  :\

yep got to agree with this, the front fairing isn't big enough to pull off the no logo look without it looking like a after thought, but your bike  ;)

like the screen though  :D

Well, we all have opinions and we're all entitled to them  :lol :lol

Personally, I think it looks great. At some point in the very near future, I will probably go down this path....

Yes so true,

Personally I think it looks a bit odd having a black fairing and a red tank and actually  I prefer decal free,

Maybe some other red decal/stripe on the fairing like the rear panel has????????????????

Well, I got me a TCP Aerodynamics Full Lower Fairing today (thanks for your help Chitsu). It's now in the bodyshop being sprayed black to match the upper fairing.

In the meantime, I've fitted some Yamaha decals which stop it looking bland (IMO).
