Yamaha Motto?
« on: 16 February 2013, 06:35:19 pm »
Fancy getting myself a half decent license plate made up for my bike, and wanted the Yamaha motto/tag line on it. Used to have a similar thing on my old ninja saying "Let The Good Times Roll", which was the Kwak motto, but what's the Yamaha equivalent?

Apparently it's "If you are going to make it, make it the very best there is."

get the knee down and pray - its sunday!
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - strawberries in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming - WOO HOO! What a Ride!"

the strapline on the advertising and marketing for the 2002 Fazer foxeye was
 "Work. Play. And the rest"

Think the "Built like a Bridge" might be the Francis Barnett which at one time was built from short sections of steel bolted together (1930s?).
"Made like a Gun" could be either BSA(Birmingham Small Arms) or Royal Enfield (Redditch) who also made rifles & guns.
