Ok, 5 Passes Ride: Kirkstone, Hard Knott, Wrynose, Honister and Whinlatter. About 250 miles all told, not a hooning trip, more technical, steep, fabulous scenery, cafes at Kirkstone and Honister passes. Somebody on another forum just did it for a day out, so perfectly feasible. So now I have to do it!  :D

Camping at least one night (might do 3 myself, then head for Snowdonia for a couple more).

Latter half of July.

Any takers?
Southerners head to slimwilly's for overnight camping (Friday night? Or go with V's dates?) and head up to Lakes on Saturday. 5 passes on Sunday. Or something like that...

+2 wanna do that myself.

And foc off with the word peeps v grrr

Ok, what I'm thinking is, me and midden will ride up to slim's on Sat 12th July. Then we'll ride up to the Lakes region on Sun 13th. We'll camp somewhere, maybe near Keswick, and spend through to Fri 18th around the Lakes. Then head down to Snowdonia around the 19th, couple of days/nights there, then down through Wales 22/23/24th, to be home for 25th July. Anyone that can join in at any point is most welcome!  :)

I will constantly have to have one ear to what's going on at home, but bruv says he should be able to be around most of the time, so I think I'm clear for this, but may have to bang out at any point - don't think it will come to that, we'll see.

Wish I could've done the planned Euro trip, but I don't think I'd be happy at the mo, the way things are at home. At least this way, I can get some good riding in, hopefully with other Foccers, knowing that if I'm needed at home it won't take long to get there.

So, who's up for any part of this? Bill, you ok with that?

Ill join in on the Wales parts...particularly 22/23/24th coz I'm off then...no great shakes if your plans change bu then but ill watch this space & if any welsh riding is being done on those days ill be out.........

depends what your plans end up being but for example if your plans were say to go from Snowdonia to staying overnight at say Llandovery 22nd then on the 23rd if yous fancied going the loop to Aberystwyth i would be happy to lead from Aberystwyth down the coast to my homeland of Pembrokeshire & camp there on the coast somewhere like whitesands beach 23rd night.....it's as far south west Wales as youll get & i can always factor in any particular places anyone wants to see such as StDavids cathedral or Tenby or whatever.

Just another option really

Yep, hoping to connect with you at some point Noggy, hence those dates in Wales. Not certain of where to go exactly, part of that will be down to what midden wants to do. I would like to visit a couple of castles (who, me?!  :lol) and take in some scenery, a mix of roads rather than just belting along the usual routes - if there're any I haven't done yet? (scratches chin in contemplation). But nothing set in stone as far as that goes.

I drove the Hardknott and Wrynose in a VW Golf last year and it is awesome, lock to lock and my wife screaming. Great roads
