Robbo, normally would have said yes, but I am doing an off road adventure bike training on the Thursday and Friday in Somerset, returning home on the Saturday and have to pick up my Mutley from the dealers, after some warranty work, on the 12th.

I fitted 2003 R6 wheels to my 2003 Gen1. Both wheels have the same rim size so tyre size is the same.
front wheel is a straight swap, except for the discs, as the later Yam wheels are 5 disc bolt fitting rather than 6 as on the Gen 1s.
Rear wheel takes the Gen 1 sprocket carrier and spacer so the left side of the rear wheel is OK. The Brake side needs some more thought and at least one extra wheel spacer.
I ended up using a GEN 2 ABS rear caliper and carrier that I modified with a welded plate to match the Gen1 torque arm. I needed a different rear disc (again 5 vs 6 bolt fixing) and i think i ended up with a Gen 2 rear disc as well.

I initially went with the crimp method but also brazed the ends just in case.

2003 5 spoke R6 Fronts will slot in but you will need to find discs that work or caliper spacers, discs have different amount of mounting bolts. Rears need some work as the chain side is OK but the disc side needs additional spacers and different calipers, caliper carriers and discs.
They do look better than the three spoke originals (IMHO) and have the same rim sizes so tyres stay the same.

I must have stopped and taken pics of this piece of rock many times over the last 25 years or so, but have always been amazed by it. Rocks rock. Pont d'Arc in the Gorges de l'Ardeche.
Remember doing the Gorge back in 83 on my first trip the Bol, couldn't believe the colour and clarity of the water at the time. We missed most of the bad weather as we were on the boat Saturday night heading home from Santander

Got the might Thou through another MoT , took it to a different shop this year and had an advisory for a noisy exhaust, first time since I put it on about 8 years ago.

Giving my Gen1 a quick going over and an exup valve clean when one of the exup cables broke, luckily had a spare set of new cables, so changed them over. Was expecting a real wrestle to get the cables in place but relatively easy fit. might have been a little different without my bike work bench.

Robbo, I've got a complete spare bike if you want to swap out parts to find the faulty one.
