Taking the old bikey to Spain soon,
I have a double bubble screen on and am curious if touring screens are better
The only option I can see on e bay are shipped from Poland but look quite a bit taller
Does anybody have one fitted , any good?

So I test rode an FZ8 today as I was thinking of chopping in my FZS.
It was pretty awful, it was to top heavy as in the front end and it handled like crap.
Has anyone else rode one and what do you think?
Not sure if it was just a duff one but I was shocked how much I hated it.
Shame it looked awesome.

Ok scrap that, I rode the bike and absolutely hated it.
The front end felt to top heavy and it handled horribly.
I was shocked how bad it was maybe just a duffer?

Thinking of buying an FZ8 , it’s a Cat N had minor damage all repaired seems lime a bargain, full luggage , black 24000 miles and good history. Only thing is they don’t know if the Stator , Rotor has been done. If it hasn’t how critical is it at this mileage and how much is it likely to cost to replace.
Currently have an FZS 600.

I’m considering replacing standard rear shock spring with a Hyperpro, the bikes done 51000 miles and I’m going to be carrying luggage on it too. The other option is the less favourable but potentially better YSS total rear shock replacement. Anyone out there with these mods can shine a light on?
Also the forks , I’m going to change oil to 15w but is it worth putting in progressive springs too?

Ha! Yeah nice one,
Bit of confusion here guess that’s my fault for a bad explanation of my woes.
Getting it off the side stand is not the issue it’s getting it on.
It seems straight enough and it pivots up and down smoothly but it seems very difficult compared to my mates fazer same model.
The bike is not lowered which would be the most obvious thing after eliminating it being bent.
The Fazer 1000 stand looks identical but could be a tad bigger which led me to conclude it could be the wrong stand replaced at some point.
It will pop up onto the stand if someone stands at the back and yanks hard enough. (Fnar fnar)

Ok thanks gents also Imput a new rad on and drained and flushed the whole system.
Filled it from the top end but the overflow resevoir remained empty, do i just top up from that end or do I have a blockage?

I’m trying to work out if my water pump or thermostat are ok.
Took it out for a blast and left it running a while but the fan doesn’t kick in.
How often does the fan come on if left idle usually?

So the centre stand on my bike will only spring up if someone yanks the bike from the back.
It’s not technique honest my mate has an fzs and his is easy.
I removed the stand and it seem straight and in decent order so I painted it and put it back greased up with lithium and its the same.
The bike is not lowered so Im wondering if it’s actually off a 1000cc fzs so a bit too big.
Does anybody have the correct measurements for a 600 stand from top to bottom so I can work it out please?

It is supposed to be for an fzs but obviously they didn’t quite hit the mark there.
Just looked at the supplier on E bays feedback and it’s not good.
I’ll return and try another supplier they all look similar hopefully next one will be ok.

Hello me again.
So bought a replacement rad off fleabay and the angle of the top right inlet is wrong sonthe hose doesn’t marry up and its useless. Are they all like this , can anybody provide a link to one they bought with no bother?

Im replacing the rocker cover after valve check they are all good after 50000 miles but i cant getvthe gasket to stay in the groove when i go to put it back on. Any tricks to get it to stay in the groove mates?
