My bike is bright yellow, I doubt they'd work on that!

OK, maybe not yellow then. Or orange. Or anything goldy coloured that isn't actually metallic gold.  :rolleyes

gold metallic hammerite smooth in a can. winner.

wheels are covered in brake dust here, but take your time, prep it properly and it comes out more than fine.

Sorry the picture is so big - has anyone painted/polished the torque bar on the swing arm and how did it turn out?

think its a no-go to polish the swing arm as the original finish is not paint (I think) and it is almost impossible to do.
The torque arm is just an extra dangly bit that in my view is best painted black to help it disappear

Did you pick this up from Right Gear Motorcycles in Langley? I looked at 1 they had back in April or so, this looks to be that bike

I went for a black Boxeye in the end, nostalgia won me over as I had 1 for my first bike. It's coping with the commute, albeit fairly short, admirably. Must upload a pic

I bought it privately from an old fella in Haslemere, he'd only had it a few months as his circumstances changed, I believe he got it from a dealers, so this could be the one you saw.
Incidentally how much was it up for?

I saw it on Gumtree for £1,400 but think they had it on Biketrader for £1,500. The lower price was a bit more than I wanted to pay given condition but they wouldn't budge.

Happy with what you paid for it?

Incidentally, I picked mine up for £1,100 with 21k on it shortly after, really clean for age. It needed a service and battery plus I've added stainless front brake lines, crash bungs and the Givi arms, plate & box. Am more than happy with it.

I paid less than those two prices but more than you did for yours.

Everything is relative, the money I paid for it was from an insurance payout for my ratty ZRX400, If someone had offered me this Fazer and £100 for my Rex I would have thought them deranged. So yes, more than happy with what I have for the money. The cosmetics don't worry me too much as it's  a commuting tool, I haven't even washed it yet.
