Hi Mike, sad to hear this mate. I know it’s going to happen to all of us at some point. I’m still riding for another 3 years or so then I’ll have to consider the same question. I have an SRAD, a 32000 mileage Fazer, a 112,000 mile every day Fazer and 64 Lodola. It all builds up and suddenly you can’t move for bikes or spares. Will you sell the bike in Spain or bring it over to UK?
Stay in touch, once a Fazer addict always a Fazer addict. You’ll go down in UK Fazer history whatever you decide to do.

I am after a right hand inner fairing (when sat on the bike). It needs to be in god condition, no marks, cracks or lugs missing.
Thanks

What condition is the Corbin seat in? I've got a nice standard seat I might swop.
Send me some photographs please.

Hi Mike, no option I'm afraid, the car would be a nightmare. I might take it apart at Christmas and see if I can seal it or something unless somebody tells me different.
I hope you and the family are well and trust you will have an enjoyable Christmas...……………………. and the sun continues to shine!!

One of the headlights on my Gen 1 is badly misted. Presumably moisture getting in somewhere.
Has anybody else had this problem and how did they resolve it please?

Will the navigation App be a specific App or would something like Waze also work as well?

Just fitted one on my Gen 1. Very easy install, brilliant piece of kit. Easy to use and understand.
I had a multigauge before this which I liked but the numbers were getting too small for me to see at night. This new dash is like watching a 65" TV in the lounge!!!
Well done Danny, keep the updates coming...……………………………...

Thanks Mike, I must admit I did take a look after my post and saw there were issues in the states. Iam surprised not to have heard too much of the issue over here. I've got the cover off and scraped the old gasket off, Got some minor scratches, Will run a scotchbrite over the surfaces, run a very thin layer or high temp RTV on the mating services and bolt it together. I think torque is 7.5ft/Ibs?
A new gasket is £17!!!

I'm not sure if it has any relevance but whilst I was tracing the leak I found the breather pipe from the air box (the one with the chamber fitted towards the bottom section) was totally blocked. I cleaned it all through but it has made no difference. I guess this blockage could not have caused the gasket to blow in the first place?

I have an oil leak that seems to be coming from the area around the bottom of the casing that has the gear change spindle coming through it. If it's the gasket that has blown then I presume I can do this with the engine in-situ? Why would this gasket blow for no obvious reason?
Is there anything else in this area that could cause an oil leak? I notice two oil feed pipes just below the cover. The oil leak seems to be above these pipes but is it worth removing these at the same time and changing the O rings on the ends (if they have O rings to seal)?
The leak is serious enough that I cant use the bike until the leak is resolved, any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks

this is shaping up nicely! toying with idea of ordering one! is there any chance of smartphone integration for google maps? I mean just mirroring smartphone screen would be enough. Don't care about calls text etc
Paul
I think Waze would be a better bet if integration is possible.

Perfect! That is exactly what I am looking for. Talk about over and beyond!
The proposed hardware solution is perfect, the intended use case is spot on, the intended user experience is sublime, and there may even be a graphical presentation. The way this problem is approached and kicked over the horizon is sensational. This innovative mindset is so refreshing.
LOL, I think he's in love

Oil loss almost nil. If you don't have a gasket then you'll need one! For the sake of it I would buy a new gasket and put it on. You might not like the new advance plate and have to take it off again.

And secondly AFAIK, Dazza is still fighting with TFL despite getting a CoC for his. Its just easier to upgrade to a newer bike. [/quote]
You are wrong, I have confirmation from ULEZ both my 04 & 05 Gen1's are compliant
