I was trying to think how long I have been off them...think its about 18 years...so acknowledging tax has gone up and fags are about £5 a packet now...if you said in real terms about £3.00 a pack over that 18 years at a pack a day and not bothering with leap years etc.. 18 x 365 x 3 = £19,710.00...still need a reason to hang on in there? £19,750 buys this ->

yep makes you think.........wonder if the local duke dealer will give me an 1199, in exchange for me tab money for the next 18 years... :eek

use a keiss heated waistcoat which is either powered from bike or its own batterypack (good as you can use it off the bike), 5 heat settings, zip bust after a couple years use, apart from that good bit of kit. If I buy another I'd go for the gerbing heated jacket liner, heats down the arms and around the collar. I have gerbing heated gloves which are excellent, way better than heated grips imo. Got some keiss heated insoles too, again work spot on and can be wired with the waistcoat. My bike has no probs running all three at once.

good bit of banter over there  :) I'm with you pit, often run mine with an empty top box fitted, tends to make you transparent to the law.......got pulled on the m180 a while back with average speed of 97mph in the pelting rain !......couple of sensible "yes officers" and was on me way, think it would have been a different outcome if I'd been on say a R1 with race leathers etc. Often thought about selling, but still cant find a better replacement  :lol

I know its difficult at times but stop counting the days, just get on with a smoke free life. Me..i smoke. You could always get a copy of alan carrs (?) easyway...tells the smoker what he knows anyway but can help to have it spelt out to remind you why you quit. Saying that I read it and still smoke so its not a cure under any circumstances. Smoking though is defo in the mind, me I'm totally brainwashed and like nothing better than making a rollup.
....the actual addiction to nicotine is very slight, that will be gone after a couple of weeks and most wont even know it, keep the reasons you dont smoke at the front of your mind and itll be easy. Shit.....think i'll give up meself....... done it loads of times :)

yeah I get where your coming from......I live in a fairly remote area and there has been a few similar thefts, we have a good idea its someone local, just thought this may be better than nothin to get a glimpse of them. Probably just an over reaction, tends to happen when you get stuff nicked...its like lockdown at Alcatraz round here tonight ;)

yeah that was my main worry with the cheaper systems, that I may get some footage but it would be just plain annoying rather than useful, may be better to get a single higher quality cam set up to cover the entrance (one way in oneway out)

I'm pretty sure its a local scumbag and being able to clock his vehicle on cctv would be all I need for a...erm...lets call it a confrontation....probably wont be back but yer never know.

I just use my "dust blower gun" attachment and the pistons fly out, no need for a good seal between gun and bolt hole. LAst time I did mine the pistons showed very little wear (@20.000 miles), but did renew all seals while I was there.

...sorry just reread your post there and see your using a foot pump, decent seal prob necessary then  :) . Compressors are great bits of kit and worth having, use mine all the time.

I had a thundercat and apart from the stock suspension, which will more than likely have been upgraded now anyway, It was a very good bike. They have a big fairing by todays standards which is very effective, make just shy of 100bhp and will top 150mph if your brave. Decent bikes dont make much either, real bargains imo

Have a m8 with race bikes and maxton look after his suspension, they seem very popular in the club paddock so can only assume their reputation for quality work/results is well founded. However, he gets a good discount on the work which always helps ;)

got a nitron road shock, think its the base/cheapest model, cant fault it but can only compare it to the original and not a higher spec jobbie.
Front wheel bearing collapsed at @18000, simple to replace, rears were feeling a bit "gritty" at 23000 so renewed em.
