Can anyone tell me what year or model R1 I need to buy the gear lever arm from please? I don't suppose they are all the same. Does anyone have one for sale??

Hi Graham B..
See my thread "Gonna fit this.."
I bought an 2009/2010 arm after doing some research and finding a good article with pics on the old Yuku site..
There is some info here about the 1999/2001 models arm looking quite agricultural and the 2003 being the best looking one... but i think there is not much difference...
I would deffo look out for a 2009/2010 one as i think it both looks good and functions well according to "Luke" the man... aka Devilsyam..!!
Look on the Yuku forum under "Tech & Mods" and the thread entitled "R1 gear shift mod done" lots of pics and great info..
Here:-

Hope this helps...

Thanks Colin. Didn't realise the yuku site was still running? Looks like I might have to buy the whole assembly, arm, rod & lever.

Awesome GrahamB...
Good find and only a tenner... nice job..
Just got to fit it now... i am thinking maybe a slight bend and a little mod to the frame area..??
Will have to wait till it gets here .. fit it and see how much frame/bar interaction there is...

I belive most just put a small kink in the rod. Don't fancy butchering my frame unless I have to. If I still have the bike this time next year (highly likely) then I might give the frame a bit of a trim before having it powder coated. :)

i havent bent mine yet or trimmed anything, it rubs a little but that dosent seem to alter the way it works.
I will when i get round to it trim a little from the rod itself. so it has a flat spot where it touches the frame.
